Franckeite var. Potosiite and Franckeite are very rare sulfosalts with Franckeite being the Sn(II)-poor variety franckeite. It was originally thought to be a separate species. This extremely rich and showy combination is highlighted by scattered, large for the species, lustrous, tabular Potosiite crystals, to 7 mm. The blades are aesthetically nestled in a 3-dimensional hummocky solid matrix of sparkly, tiny feather-like Franckeite blades. A rich and highly representative combination small cabinet from the 2004 find at the San Jose Mine. Valued at $350.
