Apatite

Item Description

Apatite from Pakistan is rare in gem form, and is becoming more and more difficult to find as the best deposits for the material dried up years ago. Today I'm told that the material is only being found in small sporadic deposits. I don't see many stones from this area these days, and this is one of the better gems I've seen for color and clarity from Pakistan. I would describe the color as a light "straw" yellow. The clarity is virtually eye clean, and considering that the majority of these stones rarely approach 1 carat in weight (even with inclusions), this is an impressive stone for Pakistan.
