A superb, pristine, 360-degree, 3.8 x 3.5 x 3.1 cm, bladed prehnite ball is dramatically and aesthetically set on basalt matrix and surrounded by glassy quartz points and small prehnite balls. The striking en echelon groups of parallel-growth translucent prehnite blades have beautiful rich mint-green color, when back lit and the frosted edges to the myriad of blades adds a surreal, fantastic visual component to this exceptional prehnite. The small ball on the right side is dinged, otherwise the piece is pristine. Outstanding prehnite specimens are well-known from the Goboboseb Mts of Namibia, but specimens directly attributable to this obscure locale are very rare.
