Item Description

Exceptional Muscovite and Fluorapatite specimens were signature species from the limited 1989-1990 finds at this Minas Gerais pegmatite prospect. However, excellent muscovite with quartz specimens of this outstanding quality were RARE. A glassy, 4.5 cm, transparent to translucent quartz crystal is dramatically perched atop a large elongated cluster of intergrown muscovite plates. Most of the sharp, hexagonal muscovite plates are pearlescent grayish-brown, but some have a beautiful rose-brown hue, which greatly improves attractiveness. The small 2.5 cm water-clear quartz point and scattered clusters of tiny white albite crystals are super accessories to this very sculptural and aesthetic large rarity.
