Classic brick-red vanadinite prisms richly and artistically cover the sculptural large matrix plate on this impressive and excellent specimen from Mibladen. The highly lustrous, translucent, textbook hexagonal tabular prisms reach 1.7 cm and most of the crystals have flashes of yellow-orange fire under bright light. The oxide-coated small crystals across the top add dramatic flair and contrast. Essentially pristine, with only one barely noticeable gently bruised crystal on the bottom center. The aesthetic quality and richness of this piece are outstanding. Mibladen has produced the world's finest vanadinites and this is a worthy large matrix example. Valued at $1750-2000 and well worth it.
