Item Description

A RARE, deceptive and outstanding fluorite combination from the famous Cave-in-Rock District. Chalcopyrite is RARE from here. The aesthetically intergrown cluster of lustrous cubes with dense stepped-growth satin lustre faces appears to be mostly purple under normal light, BUT back lighting reveals the true nature of these beauties. The cubes are water-clear gem with amber cores and fantastic sharp violet and blue edge phantoms. The chalcopryites, to about 4 mm, are clearly visible within the cubes. The impressive large cubes is 2.6 cm. Added bonuses are that the amber fluorite is includes with hydrocarbons (yellow-white fluorescence) and the thin matrix is granular rubyjack sphalerite. Striking and rare combination fluorite valued at $1200-1500.
