Pleasing rich mandarin-orange color with striking flashes of rich golden-yellow color on this sharp, gemmy and lustrous, transparent to translucent, slightly flattened textbook spessartine garnet trapezohedron. This is an impressive example of spessartine garnet from the 2007-2008 finds in Tanzania. NOW GONE - no more are being found! The attachment is at the base. 89.82 carats or 18 grams mass. A beautiful spessartine with some gem rough value, and a lot of geometric appeal, too. It GLOWS, when backlit!
