Item Description

Londonite-Rhodizite Series specimens are very rare borates. Londonite is the cesium-dominant varietal and Rhodizite is the potassium-dominat varietal. Sharp, glassy, transparent to translucent yellow crystals, to a large 2.4 cm, are very aesthetically clustered and scattered on the sculptural feldspar matrix. A 8 mm section of a Liddicoatite tourmaline is a typical and fine accessory. The crystals would have to be analysed for a definite determination. This is an exceptional and rich matrix example of this very rare species from the Type Locality. Londonite was not named until 2001. Valued at $1250-1500. Seldom on the market in this quality.
