Item Description

Gemmy amber calcite scalenohedrons fill the chamber in this perfectly preserved exceptional fossilized mollusc (Mercenaria Permagna) from Florida. The reef rock and tiny fossilized barnacles attached to the back of this symmetrical clam add pizzazz and character to the very fine two-sided fossil. Ghostly white calcite fluorescence. Outstanding material. This is Pleistocene Epoch (1.8 MY - 10,000 years BP).
