Electric-blue Azurite w/ Malachite (2004-2005 finds)

Scintillating tiny sharp navy-blue azurite crystals fill a dramatically sculptural vug on the sawed and shaped azurite, malachite and gossan matrix on this rich and very showy two-sided specimen from this less well-known Chinese skarn and porphyry-type copper-gold deposit. Many of the azurites GLOW with electric-blue color under bright light. Specimens of this quality came out in 2004-05 finds and are uncommon. The Tongshan Mine is near the better known Liufengshan Mine. Very high quality, rich and architectural azurite.
