Item Description

An artistic curved broad ribbon of bone-white Barytocalcite crystals, with superficial alteration to barite, is dramatically set on a large galena cube. Mineral specimens of any type are rare from this old lead mine, started in 1760 (MINDAT). This outstanding and rare combination is illustrated in the MINDAT locality Photo Gallery with a September 5, 2018 photo by Dr. Stephen Moreton and was collected by him in 2003.
