Fluorite "egg yolk" on Quartz

A striking 6.3 cm bi-colored, compound, lustrous, translucent, "egg yolk" is aesthetically set on the quartz and underlying chalcedony matrix on this impressive large specimen from Mahodari. Part of the "yolk" is rich honey-brown and part is a pleasing light yellow. The botryoids GLOW, when backlit! The fluorite is pristine. This 360-degree specimen has outstanding visual appeal and the noted periphery wear is certainly acceptable in the context of the excellent piece. Specimens of this size and very high quality are only available through recycled collections. We value this very highly and have seen specimens, such as this, sell for thousands of dollars at major shows.
