Radial sprays, to 1.0 cm, of glassy, yellow-orange valentinite lathes are attractively clustered at the top of the large matrix plate. Yellow-orange is a rare color, as most specimens are colorless, white or gray. Valentinite is a moderately common secondary Sb-oxide formed from the oxidation of hydrothermal antimony-bearing veins. Common associates are stibnite, native antimony, stibiconite, cervantite, kermesite and tetrahedrite. Excellent material from a 2012 find from this famous antimony ore producing district (some of the world's finest stibnites). Ex Rob Sielecki dealer stock.
