Fluorite cuboctahedrons w/ Quartz

Item Description

Water-clear colorless fluorite crystals are a Dalnegorsk classic species. The finest examples came from the Nikolaevskiy Mine and this is an impressive and rich large piece. Very glassy cuboctahedrons, to 3.0 cm, have both glass-clear and intensely stepped-growth faces. The mounded large piece is nicely accented with calcite crystals on both sides. Difficult to photograph due to the transparency, high glassy lustre and stepped-growth faces. All of the many major fluorites on this striking large specimen appear to be pristine and the piece has three very fine display views.
