Item Description

An impressive, dramatically sculptural large color-zoned fluorite combination from the famous Denton Mine. The artistic translucent, satin lustre, intergrown cubes, dominated by the striking large 9.5 cm crystal look to be mostly purple in normal light, BUT back lighting reveals the classic amber cores accented by lavender and violet edge phamtoms. The secondary gemmy fortification overgrowths add a surreal component to this outstanding piece. AND the specimen is festooned and included with a myriad of tiny bright golden chalcopyrite sphenoids. The cleave in the right corner is certainly only a modest detraction to this exceptional fluorite combination. Chalcopyrite is RARE from the Denton Mine. Valued at $1000-1500.
