Item Description

Stunning, pearlescent, golden-brown stellate sprays of pyrophyllite lathes comprise the entirety of this striking specimen from this obscure former lode gold mine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 223 and acquired at a club show in the 1950s, with the old number. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). Classic older California material rarely available today from this locality.
