Item Description
Dramatically sculptural, very uncommon and colorful large combination material from the famous Wessels Mine of the Kalahari. Sharp, tiny, tetragonal matte-finish hausmannite crystals cover most of this very artistic piece. A raised 7.0 cm ribbon of much larger Hausmannite crystals, scattered patches of tiny, lustrous, translucent brick-red Andradite Garnet crystals, the 1.4 cm cluster sharp gray-white Barite crystals at the base and nifty sprays of sharp, charcoal-gray Gaudefroyite prisms, to 1.2 cm, are outstanding and typical accessories. The framing granular bone-white matrix adds colorful flair to this exceptional and uncommon large combination from this noted locale.
