Tapered spindles of straw-yellow mimetite crystals are dramatically festooned, jackstraw style on the large mounded matrix of intergrown ivory to oxide-tinted calcite rhombs. The striking concave back shows the calcites to great effect. The mimetites reach 1.0 cm of this very rich and classic combination from the Shields Flynn Collection.
