Item Description

Intergrown, multi-hued green fluorite octahedrons cover this classic and showy large three-sided mounded plate from the aptly named Rock Candy Mine of British Columbia. The translucent octos have striking, dense satin luster stepped-growth faces and the octos reach 5.0 cm edge. The bit of purple and near colorless fluorite is a nice accent to this sculptural piece. Purple fluorescence. Ex David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
