Item Description

This obscure marble massif is known for producing excellent spinel specimens and this is a fine example from the David Burgess Collection. Intergrown octahedrons form an impresssive and sculptural 360-degree small cabinet. The octos, to 5.0 cm, are translucent with rich deep pink color. Many of the crystal faces are embedded with muscovite, with adds a very interesting visual aspect to this classy cluster. Complete all-around and pristine. Every turn presents a distinctively different view to this fine example. Cherry-red fluorescence. 127 grams mass.
