Item Description

Exotic and rare style large tourmaline from this less well-known pegmatite area, known better for excellent aquamarine, kunzite and spodumene specimens. This is a fantastic, concave-convex, 360-degree trigonal tapered fan of a multitude of stepped clusters of parallel-growth, gemmy and lustrous, olive-green tourmaline crystals! The tourmalines at the termination of the fan are mostly in a line of single-crystal growth with the smaller, sidecar crystals below! Complete all-around and essentially pristine. It's hard to see a few gently bruised terminations in a side car cluster nearly half way down the piece. Unique in my experience of Resplendor tourmalines. Older material. 66 grams mass. Valued at $1750-2000 for unique character, size and quality.
