Item Description

A colorful, striking and sculptural large multiple pseudomorph from this less well-known Katanga copper mine. Bright turquoise-blue acicular chyrsocolla has replaced a fantastic jumble of sharp, tabular bladed crystals and bubbly powder-blue chrysocolla coats the lightweight gossan matrix. The blades were either barite or azurite crystals, then replaced by malachite and finally pseudomorphed by the chrysocolla. The impressive large pseudo is 3.9 cm. Very light for the size at only 151 grams mass. Choice material from the Allen Dillwith Collection. Every turn presents a striking different pespective to this most colorful piece.
