Item Description

Bright, rich green spherical aggregates of drusy quartz-covered conichalcite are dramatically festooned on the sculptural brecciated matrix on this colorful combination. The dense band of starkly contrasting glassy, colorless calcite scalenohedrons is a stark contrast and fine accessory to this showy and excellent combination. This well-known extinct polymetallic mine is famous for an assemblage of secondary minerals of copper and other metals (MINDAT) and this is a fine example. Ex Patrick Haynes Collection and collected in May, 1986 by Jim McGlasson and others from the 30' Level in the "Mixite" hole. Ex Allen Dillwith Collection.
