Item Description

Chatoyant clusters of rich green, lamellar, Szenicsite crystals and striking clusters of lime-green, glassy powellite crystals are aesthetically scattered on all three sides of the sculptural small cabinet matrix. Szenicsite is an ultra-rare Cu-molybdate discovered in the early 1990s and named after Skip Szenics. This single szenicsite occurrence was an isolated area, approximately 1 cubic meter in size and Terry collected all of it (MINDAT). All good specimens came from this one find and were sold by him in the mid 1990s. The Powellite fluoresces brightly. This is a super combination piece from the David Burgess Collection and the label is autographed by Skip. Valued at $1000-1200. Seldom available in this combination quality and richness.
