Item Description

Vivid blue radial tufts of tiny cyanotrichite needles richly cover two sides of the blocky gossan matrix on this rich and colorful combination from this obscure Idaho mine. Crusts and seams of navy-blue azurite and green malachite are typical and excellent accessories. Specimens from here closely resemble those from the long closed, famous Grand View Mine in the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, but are far rarer. Excellent and uncommon Idaho cyanotrichite from the David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
