A dramatic large, gemmy/translucent gray-green orthorhombic topaz crystal with a striking modified chisel termination from the well-known Zapot pegmatite. Sharp crystal faces are present on all sides of this striking crystal. Some faces are contacted, and a few damages exist but overall there's actually minimal brusing. It's hard to tell because the crystal is so glassy and lustrous. The 6.0 cm pearlescent muscovite book on the back with the bit of rich blue amazonite is a super accessory. This is an uncommon and outstanding large 360-degree combination example of this style from the Zapot. Rich golden-yellow fluorescence is an unexpected surprise on this impressive large topaz crystal from the Raul Madrid Collection. Mass is 934 grams or 2.1 pounds! Valued at $1800
