Item Description

This famous large open pit copper mine at Bisbee produced ore from 1954-1970. Fine malachite specimens, such as this, are not that common. The 3.0 cm sculptural vug is lined with tiny beautiful gemmy emerald-green primary malachite crystals, that have a partial manganese oxide coating. Aesthetic, choice and uncommon material from the Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection.
