Item Description

Waxy luster smithsonite "teardrops" are aesthetically scattered on both sides of the sculptural densely stalactitic coronadite matrix on this very showy and classic large combination from famed Broken Hill. These are signature specimens from this renowned locale and this is a very fine example. Probably from the 1950 finds here, as Kay Robertson's specimen number, 1649, dates to that time period. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Valued $750
