Item Description

An aesthetic and sculptural miniature cluster of intergrown goethite pseudomorphs after sharp pyritohedrons from this well-known Utah locale. The large pseudo is 2.1 cm. The striated pseudos are a dark mahogany-brown and have nice silky luster. Complete all-around and in great shape. The two bruised areas are out-of-sight in the preferred display views. Common in the late 1990s, you don't see many around anymore. These come out of a former fossiliferous limestone now altered to clay. Ex Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection.
