Item Description

An impressive and excellent large manganoan calcite combination from the famous Casapalca Mine. Jagged, frosted trigonal light pastel-pink manganoan calcite spires, to about 5.0 cm, dramatically rise up from the mixed sulfide matrix. Tiny sharp tetrahedrite crystals peppered on the calcites add much pizzazz. The matrix consists of sharp metallic-gray tetrahedrite crystals, pyrite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine, with only one barely noticeable broken crystal in the interior. This is an exeptional large 360-degree manganoan calcite combination from the Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection. Specimens of this size and combination quality are rare. Bright neon-pink fluoresence. Hefty ore at 1427 grams or 3.1 pounds mass.
