Item Description

Witherite is an uncommon and classic species from the famous and historic mines of Cumbria. This is a sculptural, dense intergrown cluster of colorless, glassy, translucent, elongated pseudo-hexagonal twinned crystals with waxy luster frosted faces. The microcrystalline fillings between the crystals give this rich old-timer definition and contrast. A desirable, fine and rich example of the species and noted locale.
