Item Description

An uncommon and showy tourmaline combination from Erongo Mountain and the Charlie Key dealer stock. The aesthetically intergrown blocky schorls have both highly lustrous and more matte-finish prism faces. The top 3-5 mm of the terminations are probably composed of typical small rod-like crystals of foitite, a rare member of the Tourmaline Group. Correct identification is only possible by suitable analytical methods. Complete all-around and in good shape. A trivial bit of side wear is a minimal detraction. A contact on the back side, where other crystals once lay, has only minimal bruising and is out-of-sight in the several fine display views. Rare and excellent tourmaline.
