Item Description

A very showy, excellent, desirable and RARE combination classic from the historic silver-polymetallic mines at Felsobanya. RARE yellow orpiment crystals are included in the impressive and aesthetic cluster of stout, blocky, tabular, glassy, translucent barite crystals. The large spearpoint on the back is 4.0 cm on the diagonal. As a bonus, this is a two-sided rib. The bottom features smaller glassy barite blades with a rich dusting of drusy quartz. From an East Coast collection and comes with a century-old faded and torn label. This is an outstanding and VERY RARE old-time combination of orpiment crystals included in large barite crystals.
