Pretty, lustrous, bluish-green, fibrous masses of ajoite needles richly cover all side of the scuptural monzonite matrix. Ajoite is an ultra-rare copper silicate, named after its discovery locality, the New Cornelia Mine, Ajo, Arizona. Older material from an East Coast collection and comes with a mid-1960s Southwest Scientific Company label. Valued at $300-500 for richness and size.
