Item Description

Amethyst specimens are uncommon, even though this is one of the better known French locales for the species. Intergrown, very glassy, transparent to translucent terminated crystals have variable pretty blush-purple color. A few of the terminations even have subtle phantoms, adding pizzazz. The large crystal is 3.9 cm. The base has been sawed to enhance the display quality. Ex Paul Zerfass Collection # 1277. Excellent, showy, highly representative and uncommon amethyst from this locale.
