Item Description

An exceptional and aesthetic fluorite and barite combination from this well-known mine, source of the excellent Madoc fluorites from this area. Limpid, lustrous, light mint-green cuboctahedrons, to 2.0 cm, with modified corners and frosted faces are jauntily set on the crest and course down one side of the two-sided piece dramatically and richly covered with "balls" of rosettes of tiny barite blades. This is a remarkably rare and rich combination of the two species from the Art Soregaroli Collection. Bright purple fluorescence. A must for the species or locality collector.
