Item Description

Wow! A fantastic, multi-hued, 6.3 cm, fluorite "mushroom" botryoid is dramatically set in in striking sculptural large combination matrix. The translucent, lustrous fluorite has an egg-yellow base with a reddish-brown "cap". It GLOWS golden-yellow, when backlit! The botryoid aesthetically rests in an angled vug lined with very uncommon scintillating, gemmy, light blush-purple amethyst crystals. The chalcedony matrix is highlighted by surreal caverns, some penetrating all the way through the chalcedony! Botryoidal fluorite is RARE world-wide and Mahodari has produced some of world's finest example, such as this. Note that the piece was exposed by physical means to remove a quartz overgrowth and in this case may have been then lightly smoothed by an acid bath (speculation). VERY RARE in this size and quality with amethyst and chalcedony. Valued at $1500-1750 and has several striking display views.
