A RARE, spectacular, large, OLD-TIME, TABULAR quartz from Arkansas. The very glassy and lustrous, water-clear crystal has a dramatic barite-like chisel termination and is nicely accented by the terminated side car crystal. The subtle stepped-growth faces add pizzazz. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a bit of chipping to the termination. Certainly acceptable in the context of this old-timer. This outstanding 360-degree quartz comes from an East Coast collection with a faded and spliced century-old label. Old-time Arkansas quartz pieces are seldom on the market and exceptional large tabular specimens, such as this are VERY RARE.
