Item Description

Cerussite on azurite is a rare combination from Touissit. A rare 6 mm cerussite crystal included with malachite is jauntily set at the base of sculptural pair of azurite crystals, that are partially pseudomorphed by malachite. The azurites are striking in their own right with areas of electric-blue color, high luster and exotic form. The partially pseudomorphed blocky termination and the smokestack-like rear crystal make for a very artistic and rare combination. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 8842 and acquired from Brian Lloyd in October, 1979. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Very showy and rare combination material.
