Item Description

Classic and aesthetic quartz and adularia from this famous Swiss locale. The dominating water-clear, very glassy, sharply terminated crystal proudly rests atop the quartz and adularia matrix. The crystal has glass-clear prism faces accented with stepped-growth and the termination faces are strikingly and preferentially coated and included with chlorite. The contact on one side with embedded adularia is damage-free and adds much character to this fine and pristine 360-degree cutie. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 10345 and acquired in the mid-1980s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). A very showy and excellent quartz combination from this noted locale.
