Item Description

A stunning, huge, blocky bi-colored tetragonal apophyllite is dramatically framed by light peach colored stilbites on this superlative large combination from this important Jalgaon locale. The striking 6.2 x 5.8 x 5.0 cm glassy, translucent cube has a rich mint-green body, scalloped shimmering white termination and beautiful modified corners. Although common in principle, Indian minerals at the xenith of their finds really stand out as among some of the best the world has, and the prices on the finest Indian minerals are still an order of magnitude less than common minerals species from elsewhere, in part due to overproduction and in part due to collector attitudes that "they will find more." They do, every year - but different styles. Not like this! Comes mounted on a custom-made latex base. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection. This remarkable, pristine large combination has a very significant large apophyllite crystal. Valued at $3500-4500.
