Item Description

This obscure small extinct Arkansas manganese mine is noted for a fine suite of rare and exotic phosphate species. A crust and layers of green kidwellite rests atop striking banded radiating chatoyant sprays of elongated olive-brown dufrenite lathes. This is a most excellent, striking, very rich and rare thumbnail example of the species from the Francesco Bedogne Collection. Dr. Bedogne, 1942-2012, was a well-known Italian mineralogist, prolific author, field collector and collector.
