Item Description

A dense forest of oriented, tilted, tapered quartz points covers this scuptural and aesthetic old-time 360-degree plate from this historic locale. The glassy translucent crystals have striking stepped-growth faces and the crystals reach 4.3 cm. Second generation preferential overgrowths of drusy quartz on one side of the plate adds character. Essentially pristine, with only one gently bruised termination. Probably older material, but no proof. From an East Coast collection. Classic and excellent Banska Stiavnica quartz.
