Item Description

Mineral specimens are RARE from this old polymetallic ore field. Senarmontite, a rare Sb-oxide is EXTREMELY RARE from here. This super combination old-timer features sharp, lustrous, translucent senarmontite octahedrons to about 2-3 mm nicely scattered on one side of the stibnite crystal. Larger coated crystals, to about 3-4 mm, are more abundant on the striking fluted side of the stibnite crystal. Ex Francesco Bedogne Collection # 20. Dr. Bedogne, 1942-2012, was a well-known Italian mineralogist, prolific author, field collector and collector. Read his biography in the Mineralogical Record Biographical Archive: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=118. An old, RARE and exceptional example of either Cervantite or Stibiconite replacing Stibnite with the Senarmontite crystals. Comes with a faded old 6.0 x 4.8 cm label with an October, 1899 date. RARE, perhaps unique old combination material.
