Item Description

Juicy, bright apple-green smithsonite botryoids fill two vugs in the distinctively separated matrix on this colorful combination from the famous 79 Mine. Scattered sprays of colorless hemimorphite blades and a single spray of bright blue aurichalcite needles make this an uncommon and excellent combination. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 7202 and acquired from Dick Bedeauix at the Tucson Show in 1974. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Classic, old-time 79 Mine smithsonite with rare accessories.
