Item Description

RARE, very showy and excellent old-time combination material from famed Tsumeb. Nicely scattered tennantite crystals, to 1.2 cm, are altering to malachite. A 9 mm yellow wulfenite prism on the side is a very choice accessory. And finally the sculptural matrix is solid quartz points. Crystallized quartz is uncommon at Tsumeb compared to massive quartz making this a fine, sculptural and rare pseudomorph combination. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 6291 and acquired from the Lidstrom's at Tucson in February, 1971. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Choice Tsumeb combination material.
