Item Description

An elegant stacked combination miniature from the historic mines at Trepca. Tiny, lustrous, translucent, pretty pastel-pink rhodochrosite rhombs are aesthetically flanked and partially covered by sharp, striated, metallic-gray arsenopyrite crystals, to 1.3 cm on edge and numerous glassy, flattened, colorless nailhead calcite rhombs. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 5383 and acquired from the Lidstrom's at the 1968 Federation Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Choice and classic Trepca combination material.
