A very fine topaz and bixbyite combination thumbnail from the famous Thomas Range. Three, intergrown, sharp, partially etched bixbyite crystals are very aesthetically placed on the termination of the gem, rhyolite sand-included, rich cognac-colored topaz crystal The large bixbyite on the termination is 5 mm and the rhyloite included "sand" at the base is typical of the species and locale. The upper portion of the crystal has exceptional gemminess and rich classic color. Pristine, classic combination material from the Ted Bartels Collection.
