Large Orange Creedite

Item Description

An impressive large cluster of intergrown balls of gemmy and lustrous orange creedite crystals from this well-known locale. The crystals reach about 1.8 cm on this very showy piece. I like the way the imposing large central compound "ball" is flanked by smaller balls. The large ball is complete all-around, nearly pristine, with only a few broken crystals. The attachment on one of the smaller balls is mostly out-of-sight. Fine aesthetics in the display view on this larger than average piece. This locality may be extinct, as we have heard that the tunnel collapsed.
