Item Description

Blood-red in bright light, lustrous, translucent, nubby cuprite octahedrons, to 4 mm, are richly sprinkled in a sculptural elongated vug lined with clusters of sparkly, bubbly black oxide botryoids on the hefty sintered-looking matrix. The octos look wine-red under normal light. Classic, showy and excellent combination material from the famous mines at Bisbee. Undoubtedly older material, but no proof. Ex Charles Noll Collection # 5294, a prominent Wisconsin collector, who passed away in 2014.
